You A Chef is a small family business, proud to call Perth home. Every meal is cooked fresh by Chef Jenn and our small team, right here in Perth, then sent out to local stores and community tables.
We cook in small batches so everything tastes home-made, with generous portions and real ingredients. Every meal is Halal and prepared to strict food safety standards — so when you pick one up, you're supporting a local family business, not a factory line.
Our mission is simple: to bring the taste of Malaysia, along with other Asian fusion flavours, to people right across Perth. Whether you're a little homesick or just craving a proper, satisfying Asian meal, you'll find us in most local supermarkets — ready whenever you are.

Chef Jenn was born in Kajang, a small town in Malaysia known across the country for its satay. As the eldest in her family, she learned early — cooking for her younger brothers and sisters, helping out at home the way an eldest child so often does. What started as looking after family soon became something she loved. That's where her passion for cooking, and for cooking for others, was first born.
From those early beginnings, Jenn went on to work as a chef in Singapore before making the move to Perth. Here in WA she has run several cafes and restaurants and cooked at the Singapore Airlines lounge, building years of experience across some of Asia's most loved food cultures along the way.

Through it all, the reason she cooks has never really changed. She simply loves making good food and watching people enjoy it — seeing someone tuck into one of her meals is what makes her happiest. Every meal is made the way she'd cook for her own family, with real ingredients and a lot of care.
